MystiQue Sound Solutions Adds Premium 16-Foot Pipe-and- Drape System to Its Production Inventory

New heavy-weight black velour drape system expands the company’s capabilities for upscale concerts, corporate events, and ceremonies across the Twin Cities.

MystiQue Sound Solutions, Inc., a full-service live event production company serving the Greater Minneapolis–St. Paul metro for more than 25 years, today announced the addition of a new high-end pipe-and-drape system to its rental and production inventory. The investment strengthens MystiQue’s ability to deliver clean, professional staging environments for its clients’ most visible events.

At the heart of the new system is premium 23-ounce inherently flame-retardant (IFR) Valdosta poly velour in black — a heavier, richer fabric that absorbs stage light and creates a deep, polished backdrop. The system provides 100 linear feet of coverage, with panels standing up to 16 feet tall and 15 feet wide, suitable for everything from intimate stage surrounds to full-height backdrops and room divisions.

Just as important is what the fabric does for sound. Dense, heavyweight stage velour is widely used to absorb sound and control reflections, and velour at this 23-ounce weight is specifically valued for its sound-dampening properties. On a live stage, that helps reduce reverberation and reflected sound off hard walls and surfaces — keeping the mix cleaner and more controlled for bands and audiences alike.

Supporting the drape are Versa-Top three-piece uprights and adjustable crossbars, both finished in anodized black so the hardware blends in and disappears behind the black draping for a clean, seamless backdrop. The uprights extend to a full 16 feet and are anchored by heavy 24-by-24-inch, 35-pound steel bases. Each base accepts a solid two-inch-thick, nine-inch-long slip-fit pipe pin, engineered to keep the uprights stable and secure even at maximum height — an important safety and reliability factor for large-format installations.

“Our clients expect a flawless look, and this system raises the bar for what we can deliver,” said Jay Moreale, founder of MystiQue Sound Solutions. “The heavier velour gives every event a more refined, high-end feel, and the engineering behind the bases lets us build taller, cleaner backdrops with confidence.”

The new pipe-and-drape system is available now for rental and as part of MystiQue’s full-service production packages throughout the Greater Minneapolis–St. Paul metro.
